With chiropractic and an innate sense of nurturing in her blood, Dr. Morgan has followed in the footsteps of her father, Dr. Tim Grothman, to continue the family legacy of Health Within Chiropractic that he founded in 1998.  A family practice to the core, Dr. Morgan practices alongside her brother-in-law, Dr. Cody Smith.  Having had the privilege of watching her dad heal others and reap the benefits of chiropractic herself, Dr. Morgan could not imagine a more fitting and passionate career path other than the one she is on.  After completing a bachelor's degree from the University of Idaho, Dr. Morgan graduated with honors from graduate school at Parker University in Dallas, TX, in 2016 with an additional certification in Applied Kinesiology.  Her goal with patients is to restore function to their nervous system so they may live their life to the fullest! Dr. Morgan and her husband, Harrison, live in Coeur d' Alene with their beautiful daughter Evelyn.  They enjoy being close to family, biking, eating yummy food, drinking coffee, finding cool local spots to taste wine and beer, and traveling in most any capacity.

After graduating from the University of Western States in Portland Oregon with his doctorate in chiropractic Dr. Smith returned home to Coeur d’Alene with his family to work with his sister-in-law, Dr. Morgan, at Health Within Chiropractic. While actively building his practice, he treats patients of all ages using a diverse portfolio of techniques and he prefers using Applied Kinesiology muscle testing to help him evaluate, diagnose and treat problem areas that may be causing pain & discomfort. Dr. Smith is very passionate about chiropractic and is committed to being a health coach and mentor for each patient and he feels heartily about giving back to the area in which he lives and works. He feels honored to actively work with each patient as an advocate of health and well-being and his goal is to help build a stronger and healthier community by providing focused patient care. Dr. Smith loves to spend his free time with his wife and two sons enjoying the outdoors. As an avid fisherman, he loves to explore the local rivers & with a little luck catches a few! Dr. Smith is very passionate about what he does and welcomes the opportunity to work with you and your family and friends.

Dr. Brown was born and raised in South Carolina. He earned his bachelor of science degree in biology from Newberry College. He went on to graduate from Sherman College of Chiropractic with his doctorate of chiropractic. During his time in school, he cared for more patients than any other in the college’s history! Upon graduation, Dr. Brown received the Clinical Excellence Award, a distinguished award given to students who have diligently worked to develop their skills in the triune of science, art, and philosophy of chiropractic. Through his education and practice, Dr. Brown has had the opportunity to serve all types of patients- from infants to college athletes and the elderly. He has learned the importance of innate chiropractic care and living a dis-ease free life for optimal function in all phases of life. He has a strong desire to impact his community and help them understand health from a foundational level which is one of the reasons he has loved being a part of the team at Health Within. 

Dr. Brown and his wife Dr. Kayla, who specializes in pediatric chiropractic, relocated to Idaho in 2023. In his free time, Dr. Brown enjoys woodworking, scuba diving, riding his motorcycle, hiking, and exploring and learning about the beautiful area of North Idaho.

Angel has been with our office since June of 2020 and has done an exceptional job taking over our billing department. She takes pride in her work and enjoys helping our patients to her fullest potential. She is truly dedicated to her work and has a vibrant personality day in and day out. In her off time, she loves to be outdoors and enjoys bonfires with her family. 

Jessica has been a lifelong chiropractic patient along her sister Dr. Morgan. She has worked on and off over the years at the office and has recently rejoined our team as Office Administration. You may see her at the front desk or behind the scenes managing billing procedures. When she is not at the office, she is raising her and Dr. Smith’s 2 sons and gets in as much plant shopping as she can handle.

Jeanene has been a major asset for us since the moment she arrived. Although she started as a patient, she is passionate about chiropractic care and its many benefits. She has spent her career in customer service and caregiving which transitions so well into our practice helping with our patients. In her free time, she loves to entertain and cook. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two daughters, and their Pomeranian.

Eric became interested in massage therapy as a career after experiencing first-hand how helpful it was for his own health. He decided to attend massage school so he could learn more about therapeutic art and in turn, help other people. He graduated from the American Institute of Clinical Massage in 2019. He is “always trying to do his best and learn more from every message.” He is also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Idaho.

After many years of working for the federal government and the banking industry, Laurie was ready for a career change. With encouragement from family, she embarked on a new journey into becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist. She fell in love with the whole mind body approach that was being taught at massage school. This approach opened her up to a passion for helping others achieve their wellness goals. While she worked for herself for several years she collaborated with other health care practitioners. She loves the many facets of massage and how well it works with Chiropractic care. She has received the health benefits of this collaborative care which fuels her passion even more to help others on their journey. Laurie’s motto has always been “Changing Lives 1 Massage @ a time.”
She graduated from AICM (Post Falls, ID) November 2011, with emphasis’ in Foot Reflexology, Cupping and Guided mediation and breath- work for stress reduction.
When she is not a work, Laurie enjoys hiking and biking with her husband and amazing family, including her 7 grandkids. They have two crazy dogs Sadie and Daisy. When they are not keeping her busy, she enjoys teaching herself how to paint and play the guitar.
